Judah Would be Ruled by Babylon for 70 Years (Bible Prophecy)
Prophecy: Jeremiah 25:11-12
Date Written: Between 626-586 BC
Fulfilled: About 609 BC to 539 BC
The prophet Jeremiah said that the Jews would be under Babylonian control for 70 years. He also said that God would punish the Babylonians after the 70 years had ended.
About 609 BC, the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and the temple, and also took the Jews captive. The Babylonians’ rule over the Jews stopped in 539 BC. This was due to Cyrus taking over the Babylonian empire. Cyrus let the Jews return to Jerusalem.
“11 This country will be as empty as a desert, because I will make all of you the slaves of the king of Babylonia for seventy years.
12 When that time is up, I will punish the king of Babylonia and his people for everything they have done wrong, and I will turn that country into a wasteland forever.” – Jeremiah 25:11-12 CEV

Have a Great Christmas Eve!
Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed,
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head;
The stars in the heavens
Looked down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing,
The poor Baby wakes,
But little Lord Jesus,
No crying He makes.
I love Thee, Lord Jesus;
Look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle
Till morning is nigh.

The Truth About Curses
I am sure that you have heard of curses before. Probably the most famous curses are those of the Egyptian mummies. People think that there is some power to these curses and that they could themselves be cursed. Let us take a look at curses, and see how they do not have any real power over us, unless Jesus allows it.
First, Satan has deceived many into believing that he can curse anyone anytime for any reason. Here is what the Bible says about the subject:
“A curse you don’t deserve will take wings and fly away like a sparrow or a swallow.” – Proverbs 26:2 CEV
Here you read plainly that if you do not deserve the curse, you WILL NOT be cursed. Jesus controls curses, and He makes sure that they only affect people who deserve them, not innocent people.
For Christians, the Bible says that the powers (Satan, demons, ‘evil spirits’ [really demons], ghosts [really demons], etc.) have no power over us as Christians.
“I cannot speak with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. But he has no power over me.” – John 14:30 CEV
So remember that regardless of what anyone tells you, Jesus Christ is the only one that can truly curse anyone. If you do not deserve the curse, you will not get it.
